Fixed Term Post (Maternity Leave) Until April 2027
To provide a comprehensive administrative/secretarial service to the Oversea/Private Patient Department: necessitating contact with external bodies, clinical, nursing, management, executive and clerical staff.
Dealing effectively and efficiently with processing of daily workloads and ad hoc office duties.
The post holder will have a strong customer focus to ensure effective and professional operation of the service. There will be an element of out of hours work required so a degree of flexibility is essential.
Due to the short term nature of this post, Candidates who do not hold existing right to live and work in the UK, at the time of application will not progress through shortlisting stage.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the Overseas/Private Admin Lead within the Surgical Care Directorate.
Ensure all patients enquiring about services are fully informed of the cost of prospective procedures and availability.
Provide comprehensive written quotes for treatment on request
Liaise with Private Insurance Companies to confirm authorization numbers obtained prior to booking patients in for appointment/admission.
Ensure all relevant patient documentation is available for Consultant to view prior to appointment.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of patients financial and personal information is maintained at all times.
Prioritise workload distributing/redirecting as necessary and within required deadlines.
Communicate and support all personnel and departments operationally with overseas and private patient requirements.
Ensure all patients receive appropriate documentation relating to admission/appointment and ensure hospital systems are updated.
Raise invoices in a timely manner.
Collect and reconcile payments from patients ensuring
