
Job summary
Blyth's Meadow Surgery is looking for a prescription clerk to join the team on a part-time basis, working 30 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring that requests for repeat prescriptions are actioned within 5 working days. This includes checking email requests, online, paper and phone.
- Responding to all queries and requests from chemists, nursing homes and district nurses, regarding the issue of prescriptions.
- Keeping repeat prescription information up-to-date in the patient journal, such as letters and doctors' requests.
- Medicine management liaising and discussing any enquires or queries raised by the clinical team.
- General ad hoc administration work.
- Flexibility to cover other areas when required multi-skill mix.
- Keep up-to-date with all prescribing guidelines and protocols, relevant to the position.

Blyth's Meadow surgery is in Braintree and has a list size of 11,500 patients. We are part of Braintree PCN which is comprised of 5 surgeries. We have a really good, supportive team of 4 partners, 2 salaried doctors, 2 ANPs, 3 Nurses, a pharmacist and 3 paramedics.
