Practice Nurse (Experienced)

Newtown Medical Practice is a friendly, forward-thinking GP surgery providing high-quality care to over 13,500 patients. Based in modern, purpose-built premises, we work with the latest clinical systems including EMIS Web and Docman 10.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our supportive multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician who enjoys working autonomously while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.
The role is suited to a nurse with significant hands-on experience in primary care, general practice or community nursing, who is comfortable managing patients independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team.

Main duties of the job
Main Duties
- Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD)
- Assessment and treatment of minor illness, minor ailments, and injuries
- Clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care
- Preventative healthcare and health promotion
- Safe clinical decision-making and contribution to policy implementation
- Collaborative working within the general practice team
