An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Educator to join the Neighbourhood, Public & Mental Health System.
The successful post holder will provide educational support across the Sunflower, EDYS and Crisis Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning and development opportunities for registered and unregistered staff, including Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Allied Health Professionals.
The role will focus on developing and maintaining staff knowledge, skills and competence to ensure a workforce that is fit for purpose and practice. Responsibilities will include supporting mandatory training compliance, contributing to the development and implementation of the system’s education strategy, and promoting a positive learning culture across services.
The post holder will work collaboratively with practice education colleagues, clinical teams and external partners to enhance learning opportunities and support workforce development initiatives.
To maintain clinical credibility and support practice-based learning, the role includes one clinical shift per week within Sunflower House.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinician with a passion for education, workforce development and improving patient outcomes through learning and professional development.
Main duties of the job
- To ensure good, safe and effective education programmes for nurses, HCAs and AHPs staff groups, also monitoring compliance with mandatory training.
- To develop and maintain staff knowledge and skills in order to ensure that all staff employed within the system are ‘fit for purpose and practice’.
- Assist in developing and implementing the system educational strategy for both registered and unregistered staff.
- To promote educational partnerships with other education colleagues and other relevant agencies.
