We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable individual to join the Parent and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) as a Medical Secretary. This post will be based at Fern, Elmwood, Aberdeen.
The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to clinicians within the service, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the service.
The day-to-day responsibilities will include audio typing, referral processing and booking appointments using the patient management system. The successful candidate will also manage emails, telephone enquiries and a range of general admin tasks and responsibilities. In addition, there will be a requirement to log into the phone system daily and supporting reception when required.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual who has excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills. The successful candidate will work autonomously but should also be a confident team player who is able to work with minimal supervision and possess the ability to prioritise their daily workload to meet service demands. There will be a requirement to provide administration support to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), particularly during busy periods of leave, offering variety within the role and the opportunity to broaden experience.
Applicants should have strong organisational and computer skills and be confident using IT systems. Experience of NHS systems is highly desirable, as you will be working daily with systems such as TrakCare and Dragon.
This post is full-time permanent, worked Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm to provide cover during the PIMHS core hours.
