Job overview

“Please note: we are unable to provide sponsorship for this position.”

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our OD and People Team, who are recruiting for a Personal Assistant and Administrator supporting the  People Operations/Employee relations Team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we develop our Group BSW OD&P (HR) service with our colleagues in Bath and Swindon.

Supporting our team of Employee Relations Advisors in addition to the People Operations Manager and Head of Employee Relations this is a key  and vital role.

An interest and experience operating in a HR environment would be beneficial but should not hold back anyone wanting to move into a HR role so fantastic customer service and administrative skills  proven in an administrative or operational role would provide a  good platform as well as any previous experience of co-ordinating or working within a compliance role as these are key aspects of the job.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for providing first line response to all queries coming through to the team through the People Operations In box and helpline. You will be responsible for answering and fielding queries and questions from all staff and third parties, signposting to OD& P policies and advisors when appropriate. You will be responsible for manage the administrative side of the Job Evaluation process for the trust, ensuring roles are allocated to panels in a timely manner and providing feedback. You will provide a range of PA and administrative support which will include organising and maintaining systems,  attending and supporting at meetings, taking minutes, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the wider team. You will need to be a clear and effective communicator and confident interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders. You will also need to be committed to ensuring that  confidentially is maintained at all times. You will be highly computer literate, with expert administrative skills in being able to utilise the full range of Microsoft Office products including word and excel. You must also be able to work independently, using your initiative, managing and prioritising your own workload, and respond swiftly to changing demands and the needs of the department.
