Main duties of the job

About the Role

As a Patient Services Advisor, you will be a key part of our front-line team, ensuring patients receive a professional, efficient, and compassionate service.

Your duties will include:

  • Welcoming and assisting patients at reception
  • Managing telephone, face-to-face, and online enquiries
  • Booking and managing appointments
  • Signposting patients to the most appropriate service
  • Supporting clinicians and maintaining smooth clinic operations
  • Carrying out administrative tasks accurately and efficiently

Job responsibilities

Working Pattern

  • Approximately 12-18 hours per month
  • Weekday evenings: 4:00pm 8:00pm
  • Saturdays: 8:00am 1:00pm
  • Shifts across Ellesmere Health Centre (EHC) and Churchmere Medical Centre (CHC)
  • Rota provided one month in advance
  • Designed to offer a high level of flexibility around other commitments

  • Previous experience in a GP or healthcare setting is helpful but not essential, we value attitude and willingness to learn.
