Job overview

Patient and Public Panel Administrator

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) is committed to ensuring that patients and the public have a strong voice, and that their views are listened to and acted upon. Our well-established and highly valued Patient and Public Panel plays a key role in shaping and influencing improvements across our emergency, patient transport, NHS 111 and support services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is passionate about working with people to make a difference. Joining our Patient Engagement team, you will work closely with the Patient and Public Panel Facilitator to build and maintain strong relationships with Panel members, provide high-quality administrative support, and help develop members to reach their full potential as volunteers.

You will also support the delivery of our community events programme, which includes organising and delivering events across each county in the North West throughout the financial year.

Main duties of the job

This is a permanent, full-time position based at Trust Headquarters, Ladybridge Hall in Bolton, within the Communications and Engagement Team. The team benefits from a hybrid working pattern, combining office-based and remote working. The role will require travel across the North West to support community engagement events and coordinate Panel meetings in line with an agreed work plan.

We are seeking someone with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and experience in administration and event planning. A genuine interest in meaningful patient and public engagement, and a commitment to improving patient experience, are essential.
