- Monday: 8.00am - 6.00pm
- Wednesday 9.30am -2.30pm.
- Thursday 9.30am -2.30pm
- Friday: 8.00am -6.00pm
Main duties of the job
The Moorings comprises a small team of staff who are required to work well as a team.
Job Summary:
As a Patient Adviser, you will primarily handle administrative duties, as all incoming calls are managed by our call centre. Your responsibilities include processing incoming emails, managing daily tasks from clinicians, and handling online booking requests.
You will provide exceptional front-of-house service, directing patients to appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously and efficiently. Additionally, you will support patients and colleagues in using new technological processes and procedures introduced by the practice.

Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Reception:
- Greet and receive all visitors and patients with a positive and professional attitude.
- Manage and action requests made by patients via the online booking system.
- Process incoming emails promptly.
- Answer internal telephone calls, redirecting or dealing with them as necessary.
- Assist clinicians during surgeries as required.
- Process prescription requests according to practice guidelines.
- Handle patient inquiries and schedule new and follow-up appointments.
- Communicate test results to patients through appropriate methods.
- Assist with the booking of transport for hospital appointments.
- Arrange interpreter services when necessary.
- Schedule medical examinations and extract notes for medical reports.
- Process practice notes daily and take required actions.
- Liaise with clinical software and telephone companies regarding system issues.
