An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Kent Children’s diabetes team.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated paediatric nurse who would like to develop professionally within the speciality of childhood and adolescent diabetes.

With one of the largest services for children and young people with diabetes in the South East Coast and London network we can offer you a rewarding, flexible and supportive secondment working alongside experienced and specialist multidisciplinary staff within the children’s diabetes team,

With the majority of clients having Type1 diabetes and approximately 90% currently using integrated insulin pump and sensor technology vast experience in the use of the latest diabetes related technologies is available.

Main duties of the job

To work within the Children’s Diabetes Team, providing expert nursing care, support and advice to children and young people following the diagnosis of diabetes.

To work under the direction of the specialist nurses, supporting a caseload of patients across East Kent.

To work in partnership with the children, young people and their families offering advice, emotional and practical support and liaising with other professionals.
