To manage the specialty bookings team to ensure that appointments are booked and waiting lists manage in a timely manner and provide a high quality appointments function to the Trust

Escalating issues to service leads / manager ensuring that weekly capacity reports down to consultant level are produced and discussed with the relevant operational managers at a fortnightly meeting. This frequency may be amended per specialty with agreement of relevant management teams
Escalating clinic reductions under 6 weeks’ notice, escalating multiple patient moves (more than twice) back to service leads, ensure that any requests for clinic cancellations under 6 weeks are escalated through the appropriate channels
Liaising with the speciality team leaders on a regular basis, ensuring good communication channels are created and maintained with the relevant management teams
To ensure that the outpatient waiting list is validated in its entirety at least once a week via the OPWL PTL. This will ensure that all waiting lists are appropriate and still necessary and ensure that the status of the patient’s RTT clock is appropriate
To oversee any data quality checks and validation as necessary, including but not limited to, new OPWL on non-ticking clocks, incorrect designation of new and follow waiting lists, validation of the pending waiting list and no future appointment dates
