Join us as a Healthcare Support Worker in the Specialist Dementia Intervention Team (SDIT). At CTMUHB we are not just offering you a job but the opportunity to be at the forefront of Dementia care.
In this role you will need to be innovative to adapt to the complexities of the clients unmet needs in relation to behaviours that challenge in Dementia. You will need to have good communication, organisational and time management skills.

Main duties of the job
- Work within a Multidisciplinary Team under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Deliver Health and Social care within the Care and Treatment plan.
- Provide support to service users on an individual and on a group basis both within Community and Inpatient settings.
- With supervision and support from Registered Nurses be responsible for and manage own workload and safety.
- Participate in caseload management supervision from Registered Nurses.
- Actively participate in continuing professional development through the Knowledge Skills Framework
- To support individuals by role modelling psychological interventions
- Being part of Multi disciplinary discussion and Formulations
- Feeding back observations using the PAL document.

Experience
Essential
- Experience of working within a relevant health or social care environment providing direct patient care

Qualifications
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Health Care related subject or equivalent experience and can evidence workbased competency demonstrating theoretical knowledge and the ability to undertake clinical care duties relevant to the role which is gained through experience and work based training/short courses
Communication skills

- Good communication skills - verbal, non-verbal and written and the ability to convey information clearly and sensitively.
Desirable
- Welsh language skills in Speaking/Listening at Level 3 or above
