We are seeking to recruit a Nursery Nurse to work within the Children and Families team in Helensburgh and Lomond area.The post is 21.8 hrs hrs worked over 3 days.The postholder will provide Nursery Nurse support on child development and respond to individual and family needs in a variety of settings. Postholder will require to meet the physical, social and developmental health needs of children and their families as identified by individual family health plans .The post requires the following qualifications SVQ3 in Health & Social Care, NNEB or HNC in Childcare and a minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting, sound knowledge of child development and a good level of literacy & numeracy.You must be able to work with children with ability & willingness to undertake further formal study.

You should have knowledge of GIRFEC.In addition you will be required to work on your own initiative and work well as part of a team.IT skills are required– e-mail, basic word processing, ability to search inter and intranetIn addition you should have a good level of physical health and stamina, large and fine motor fitness and dexterityCar driver essential for this post and a car owner advantageous.Informal enquiries to Linda Skrastin Child Health Manager. linda.skrastin@nhs.scot or 01436 635157

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
