A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Gynaecology Service within the Women & Children’s Division as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist - Hysteroscopist.
We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and compassionate clinician to deliver high‑quality outpatient hysteroscopy services across our MSE hospital sites. You will take responsibility for your own patient caseload and play a crucial role in ensuring timely, safe, and effective diagnostic pathways for women.
Main duties of the job
- Perform independent outpatient hysteroscopy procedures, including diagnostic examinations and minor therapeutic interventions, in line with national BSGE-recognised standards.
- Assess, triage, and prioritise referrals to appropriate clinics or clinicians.
- Manage own caseload, including diagnosing, acting on results, initiating treatment per local/national guidelines, and arranging follow‑up.
- Provide specialist clinical advice and patient support, ensuring evidence‑based, compassionate, high-quality care.
- Discharge patients appropriately back to primary care with complete documentation.
