Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time Medical Secretary to join the Neonatal Secretarial Department based at Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport. Working days are fixed on Thursday and Friday.
It is essential that the post holder is an organised and motivated individual with excellent audio-typing and interpersonal skills, plus a sound knowledge of medical terminology. The successful candidate will be expected to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support across the department as required.
The successful post holder must be reliable and flexible to meet service needs and used to working in a busy and demanding environment, with excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. They will be able to work on their own initiative, exercising judgement to solve any problems arising.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
