Job overview

We are looking to recruit a motivated and compassionate Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Technician to join our Stroke and Neurology Rehabilitation Service.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting people with stroke and neurological conditions to maximise their independence and recovery.

The purpose of the post is to carry out skilled therapy interventions, as delegated by specialist occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff. Interventions will be delivered across a range of settings, including patients’ homes, hospital wards and community environments.

Main duties of the job

• Mobility and transfers
• Personal care and activities of daily living
• Upper limb rehabilitation
• Cognitive, visual, perceptual, communication and sensory rehabilitation

This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
