Berkshire Healthcare have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Outpatient team based at West Berkshire Community Hospital.

If you thrive on variety and the opportunity to work with multiple people, this is a role you should consider as you may need to travel to other sites when the need arises; you will receive generous mileage allowance to facilitate this element of the role. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team, who are pro-active in ensuring a high standard of service within MSK Physio across Berkshire.

We are looking for candidates with excellent customer service and communication skills, a flexible approach, and who are competent at multi-tasking. Good IT skills are essential, and you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own as well as working in collaboration with others.

You will be responsible for the management of patient referrals and appointments utilising phone and email communication whilst creating an efficient and compassionate environment for our patients.

Main duties of the job

  • Act as primary point of contact for MSK patients and visitors attending the department
  • Take responsibility for digital referral management and patient bookings.
  • Variety of specific admin tasks including management of phonelines and email, with patient focus at the forefront of our role.
  • Liaising with other departments and services to support and assist patients as needed, such as interpreting services.
  • Collecting data and statistics to assist management in guiding the service direction.
  • Working flexibly in response to the needs of the patients, service and Physiotherapists.
  • Supporting colleagues to deliver a high quality, effective and compassionate service both virtually and in person.
