An opportunity has arisen for an interim Modern Matron to cover maternity leave in the Forensic Division.
This role covers a broad range of quality, safety and patient experience, and the right candidate will have substantial experience of clinical and professional nursing leadership. Skills in risk assessment and management are key.

Main duties of the job
The interim Modern Matron will be:
- Accountable for the high-quality nursing services to clients in the forensic inpatient units
- Responsible for highly complex case load of patients with complex long term physical and/or mental health needs
- Accountable for nurse led in-patient admissions and discharges.
- To work in partnership with operational managers, professional leads and other colleagues
- Able to demonstrate advanced clinical skills in practice and provide support and advice re. clinical developments, delivery and co-ordination of the highest quality care in collaboration with service users, carers, staff, managers, other agencies, appropriate to the service area
- Be responsible for compliance with, and development of, clinical policies, procedures and guidelines, including case management, co-ordinating care in an inpatient setting
