This job involves driving the MCU to dedicated areas where we administer chemotherapy at home, alongside the charity hope for tomorrow. we travel to different areas around Lincolnshire, Louth , Skegness, Spalding at present.
To ensure all legal and Trust requirements with regards to the use and driving of such vehicles are adhered to at all times, including the maintaining of vehicle mileage records, daily defect reports etc, as necessary.

Main duties of the job
Driving to designated areas, maintenance checks, supporting the nurses, refreshments for the patients. taking blood tests back to the hospital fetching treatment. Supporting the chemo suite on occasions when two drivers on. Maintaining the stock levels on the bus. keeping up with training required for the role
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To attend meetings, briefings and training sessions, as required. To wear the uniform issued for driving staff and to adhere to current uniform/dress codes. To undertake routine cleaning duties within the Department, to include equipment, such as vehicles and storage areas etc. To promote the highest standards of customer care and a professional, welcoming and friendly atmosphere at all times. To assist in new staff induction training by means of ‘on the job’ training. This is not an exhaustive list of duties/responsibilities, but is the minimum standard required for this role. It may be necessary to amend duties in light of practices and procedures to be introduced or developed in order to assist in the smooth running of the Transport and Facilities Department.

Essential
- Able to demonstrate previous experience in a customer based organisation
- Minimum 2 years driving experience in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience
- Previous vocational driving experience in a busy
- Local road knowledge
Qualifications
Essential
- Full Great Britain or valid EC/EEA driving licence (with category C entitlement with no more than 3 ‘in-date’ penalty endorsement points for minor motoring offences
- Able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to complete paperwork relating to delivery and collections and comprehension skills sufficient to be able to read and understand written instructions
- Driver CPC Qualification

Desirable
- Able to demonstrate an understanding of moving and handling techniques.
- Health and Safety qualifications/training.
