We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP New Hall, a female prison and young offenders institution (YOI) in Flockton, West Yorkshire.

Working in a fully supportive team of 8, PPG pathway for development and training opportunities, parking on site.

Hours

37.5 hours working Monday to Friday, either 8-4pm or 9-5pm.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £58,012 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Mental Health Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Work as part of and lead the Mental Health team within the Integrated Healthcare Services team.
• Provide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.
• Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.
• Ensuring that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
• Provide nursing triage, screening and assessment.
• Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians
• Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.
• Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health
• Confirm waiting list are well managed ensuring minimal waiting times for patients
• Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.

Qualifications required

• Registered Practitioner
• BSc or equivalent qualification
• Experience of providing supervision to a team - Desirable
• Teaching / Mentoring experience and /or qualification Experience
• Evidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and on-going competence in all aspects of the role
