Main duties of the job

As a Medical Health Act Administrator you will be:
- Attending Managers Review Hearings in the capacity of the MHA Administrator/Clerk and ensure the review satisfies the fundamental legal requirements of fairness reasonableness and lawfulness.
- Following up MHA action points included in the Care Quality Commission reports submitted following visits to clinical areas.
- Liaising with the consultants and nursing team to update service users information regarding renewal of sections and consent to treatments.
- Providing information to service users about their access to Independent Mental Heal Advocacy Services (IMHA).
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Confidence to liaise and give advice to a wide range of people from different profession
- Experience within a similar role
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation and current case law relating to the Act.

Location: Westpark 26, Chelston, Wellington, Somerset, TA21 9FF
You will be working at Wellesley Hospital, a purpose built 101 bed hospital in Wellington (Somerset) for men and women with Mental Health needs.
There are 6 wards for people with Mental Health needs and 1 ward for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
The Wellesley Hospital built in 2017 works alongside Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Avon and Wiltshire Foundation Trust, Cornwall Foundation Trust, 2gether Foundation Trust, and Livewell to deliver the best possible environment for patients with Mental Health issues.
