We are delighted to offer two full-time Medical Secretary (Band 3) opportunities (37.5 hours per week) within the Division of Medicine's Medical Administration Department. Successful candidates will join our dedicated teams supporting Cardiology and Neurology Services, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of patient-focused care.
This is a highly diverse, demanding but rewarding role. It is essential that the successful applicants have a recognised secretarial qualification, or has sufficient proven medical secretarial experience with experience in audio typing.

The Medical Secretary role is a highly diverse, demanding but rewarding role, working as part of a friendly, dynamic team. It is essential that the successful applicants have proven medical secretarial experience, the ability to type to a high standard and desire to develop and learn new skills and competencies.
The successful candidates will have the confidence and enthusiasm to take on the challenges of this role and experience to manage a high workload. Applicants must be organised, have the ability to work under their own initiative and able to prioritise a competing workload.

- Previous digital/audio typing experience
- Secretarial experience in a clinical environment

Qualifications

- Typing qualifications to RSA II or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology/AMSPAR qualification
- Good general standard of literacy and numeracy
