The Oral and Facial team is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent secretarial and administration skills to assist in the provision of a comprehensive service.

To be successful you will need excellent communication skills.  You will also need a flexible and professional approach to the work and enjoy the variety of communication with a wide range of people both internal and external to the Trust.  This includes being the first point of contact for communication within the clinical team.  You will provide diary management and workload organisation for the Consultant and team as well as providing cover for colleagues as necessary.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the job will involve:

Receiving and processing telephone calls in accordance with Trust policy and in an appropriate manner.

Maintaining absolute patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with Trust policy and the legal framework such as the Data Protection Act.

Utilising advanced keyboard skills to RSA Stage 3 and RSA Stage 3 Audio Typing or equivalent to produce clinical and routine correspondence to health professionals, patients and their carers.

Regularly utilise Trust Information Systems such as Maxims for the creation of correspondence, reports and other documents.  Develop a thorough knowledge and understanding of the RADAR,  Patient Administration System (PAS) and eNotes Management.
