
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Secretary within the Neurosciences Clinical Service Units Team of Neurology Secretaries. This is a permanent position and would be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience and knowledge. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Neurology Team, based in Leeds General Infirmary. You must be a highly competent audio typist to undertake this varied secretarial role, which will include audio typing of general correspondence, clinic letters, plus dealing with telephone enquiries and emails.
We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and hardworking person. Candidates will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, to work under minimal supervision and to deadlines. Previous secretarial experience/experience of working in an office environment is essential. A good telephone manner and experience of handling a high volume of queries from stakeholders is essential. The candidate must be able to prioritise their workload and work under pressure. RSA II in audio typing or equivalent is an essential requirement to undertake this varied and interesting role along with a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths.
