An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the administration team at the Royal Cornwall hospitals trust . You will need to provide an efficient and comprehensive secretarial service and should have previous secretarial and administrative experience. Excellent organisational skills are required as is the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills are required and the post holder will need to have the ability to liaise with staff at all levels and work effectively and efficiently as part of a team. This is a busy role and the post holder will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to use their own initiative.

Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to clinical staff using a range of secretarial procedures.
To contribute to the effective delivery of patient care, through knowledge of consultant practice and hospital systems.
To be flexible to provide cover for colleagues as necessary.
Minute taking for departmental meetings.

Qualifications

- Minimum of two GCSE "O" Level or equivalent level of general education to include English and Maths at Grade A-C
- RSA stage III word processing or equivalent.
- RSA Stage III Audio typing or equivalent.
Desirable
- NVQ in Administration or equivalent. ECDL.
- Minute taking experience.
Practical and intellectual skills

- Advance keyboard skills
- Able to communicate effectively with staff of different disciplines
