The Medical Day Unit is a busy Monday to Friday 11 spaced, planned clinic. Patients attend at planned timed appointments for specific treatments to manage long term illnesses. MDU is an increasingly growing nurse led clinic providing a service for all adult specilalty services, including biologic medicines ,dynamic blood testing /investiagtions with minor interventions.
Main duties of the job
work co hesively within a small team
Assess treat/discharge day case patients, take charge of clinical area, safely delegate tasks appropriately,recognise /respond to emergency situations act as a role model/ mentor to junior staff/students. communicate efficiently openly with colleagues Consulatnts patients and family members. adhere to IPAC compliance escalting concerns appropriately
