
CDDFT community services is offering an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse as Matron for Community Respiratory and Tuberculosis Nursing Services. This post is a 6-month secondment. The post is full time Monday-Friday 9am 5pm based at either Chester-Le-Street Hospital or Sedgefield Community Hospital.
Responsibility for the operational delivery of Community Hospital and Day Hospital provision within the respective locality;
Responsible for the effective operational management of integrated services in line with County Durham and Darlingtons NHS Foundation Trust Clinical Strategy;
Implementation of appropriate and relevant actions identified through the interpretation of national policy and guidelines to ensure continuous improvement and quality service delivery;
Key point of contact for the relationship management with all relevant parties;
Involved in effective dialogue with Commissioners helping to ensure services remain fit for purpose and continue to provide value for money;
Provide clinical leadership, line management, and a coordinating role for the provision of expert advice across a diverse range of community and acute services;
Responsible for the budget management of the service, including associated financial management, monitoring, control and reporting requirements in line with organisation policies and procedures;
To embrace and promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement across all service areas;
To lead and promote County Durham and Darlingtons NHS Foundation Trust vision, strategic direction, values and behaviours;

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
