
We are looking for an AAT Level 4 Qualified Accountant who wants to make a difference to the health services in Cornwall.
This exciting role will support our Capital & Business Case Team in monitoring financial performance Royal Cornwall Hospitals’ capital programme; supporting budget holders successfully deliver investment in our hospitals by providing financial advice. The role provides a great development opportunity which combines elements of both management and financial accounting across a wide variety of projects.
You will bring excellent financial management skills and will have experience of working in teams to deliver successful and measurable outcomes. With good negotiation skills and leadership skills, you will have the ability to help deliver change and improvements across numerous work streams.

In conjunction with the Deputy Finance Manager, the post holder is responsible for the day-to-day monitoring of budget performance of project managers and budget holders across our Capital Programme.
They will support budget holders with financial information in order to aid decision making and be good at providing financial guidance to individuals who do not have accountancy backgrounds.
They will be responsible for completion of financial statements and notes to RCHT's annual accounts relating to capital expenditure and RCHT's non-current assets and therefore have a good knowledge of capital accounting.
Their role will include maintenance of RCHT's fixed asset register, ensuring that all of our non-current assets are correctly accounted for and budgetary implications of changes to non-current assets are reported to the Financial Accountant.
They will be responsible for completion of monthly budget monitoring reports and support monthly budget monitoring meetings in order to ensure successful budget performance reporting and aid in the delivery of RCHT's capital programme to within our Capital Departmental Expenditure Limit.
