Main duties of the job

• To lead the development of Lung oncology nursing service across the trust and the primary care setting in order to provide high quality, cost effective service using research, audit and evidence based practice.
• To provide specialist care, knowledge, advice, information and education to patients, carers, healthcare professionals and relevant others ensuring individual clinical, psychosocial and emotional needs are met.
• To participate in service delivery across the trust/primary care/cancer network ensuring that it meets the national recommendations and directives for patients with lung with cancer.
• The post holder will work with the Trust Lead Clinicians for Lung Cancer in developing and implementing a strategy for the implementation of NICE Improving Outcomes Guidance and IOG Guidelines.
