The appointment offers an opportunity to strengthen an established team of MSK radiologists, some of whom also support major trauma services.
The successful candidate will have completed formal training in MSK and major trauma radiology and will have experience in all aspects of MSK and general cross-sectional imaging.
Rapid access and the safe and efficient reporting of inpatient and emergency workload are key priorities, and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the general work of the department, including plain film and CT reporting, which is delivered by a large consultant team across 7 days, and includes a day time duty rota, scheduled but infrequent and flexible sessions at weekends and extended weekdays. The post holder will also be expected to deliver regular evening sessions as part of the job plan.
In line with the stature and ambition of the Academic Health Sciences Centre, the successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to training and, if appropriate, research, as well as working with the Divisional and Directorate management team to help manage and improve the service effectively.

Part of this will take the form of an extended day to regularly provide consultant presence from Monday to Friday between 5pm to 8pm.
