Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a 12 month fixed term consultant to join a well-established neurodevelopmental and neurodisability team in South West London and meet rising demand in most of our specialist teams within Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics and the Looked After Children (LAC) Services. The successful candidate will work across and deliver care for the Developmental Paediatrics, ADHD, SEND LAC and ASD sub-specialties. The post holder will ensure a high standard of care is achieved and maintained within their organisation demonstrating effective leadership skills and working within a team. This will include providing clinical supervision and management of the trainee doctors.

Main duties of the job

Deliver holistic approach for children whom may need care in a number of aspects at once (LAC, ADHD, Developmental Paediatrics and ASD).

Producing a report and healthcare plan within statutory time scales and subsequently a comprehensive written report

Clinical Supervision of the clinics delivered by the trainee and other doctors

Undertaking developmental and SEN clinics. The possibility of doing ADHD clinics and/or ASD multidisciplinary assessments can be considered, according to the service needs and the relevant experience and training.
