The post also includes general adult dermatology clinics at the St. Thomas’ Hospital site. The post may have a requirement for flexible working across other South East London dermatology sites depending on service demand. We are looking for a dynamic applicant who is committed to excellence in patient care and who is forward-looking as we explore innovative ways of delivering our services.
As an organisation, we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients. This includes asking certain groups of staff to work more flexibly so that we can offer services to patients in the evenings and at weekends. We regard this flexibility as essential if we are to continue to provide first class patient care in the future. As a result, any offer of employment to a consultant post will be subject to you agreeing to work a new more flexible pattern of working in the future if required and in accordance with the provisions of the new Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust consultant contract.

The SAS Clinical Director is Dr Toby Garrood, the General Manager is Michaela Cashman and Head of Nursing is Louise Farrow.

Formerly a post graduate teaching hospital, it is now fully integrated into the Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals Trust and the Guy’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine (GKT) of Kings College London. St. John’s Institute of Dermatology contributes to GKT research activities as part of the Division of Genetics and Molecular Medicine, GKT Medical School, Kings College London and provides an annual MSc postgraduate course.
