An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the HPB team as a Junior Clinical Fellow. This role includes supporting the HPB team with inpatient ward rounds and associated duties, along with the opportunity to participate in research and emergency duties.

- Admission and review of patients in the Emergency Department.
- Supporting the HPB and on-call team in theatre.
- Supporting the HPB team with ward rounds.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The main duties of the role are:
- Participation in clinical audit within the Unit.
- Opportunity to engage in clinical research.
- Active involvement in the training and supervision of Junior Medical Staff and medical students on ward rounds, in theatre and in clinics.
- To take part in the junior clinical fellow on-call rota for General Surgery.

- Knowledge of wider health debates and NHS Structures, and current media issues. The applicant must be familiar with and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the major principles of the GMC. Clear logical thinking showing an analytical/scientific approach

- Previous experience in HPB / General Surgery

- • Firm grounding in junior level surgery. • Ability to provide a complete employment history. • Evidence of achievement of foundation competencies. • Experience of acute surgical take. • Previous NHS experience.
