Main duties of the job

This exciting Band 6 secondment/fixed-term opportunity offers a varied and rewarding role within our Infection Prevention & Control Team.

Working alongside experienced IPC professionals, you will help deliver an effective infection prevention and control service across West London NHS Trust by:

• Providing specialist infection prevention and control advice to clinical teams
• Supporting audits, surveillance and quality improvement initiatives
• Delivering education and training to staff
• Supporting outbreak management and incident response
• Promoting best practice to improve patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections
• Alongside these responsibilities, during the winter influenza season (October–February) you will also support delivery of the Trust's staff flu vaccination programme.
• Delivering flu vaccination clinics across our hospital and community sites
• Supporting mobile and pop-up vaccination clinics
• Promoting vaccination through staff engagement and health promotion
• Helping protect both patients and colleagues during the winter months

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the Trust's highest-profile public health campaigns while developing your leadership, project management and vaccination expertise. To deliver influenza vaccines during the influenza season (October – February).
