Job overview

This is a 12 month fixed term contract (possible secondment for internal staff) for an Interim Operational Manager for:

  • Mental Health Liaison (MHLT) service based at Watford General
  • Mental Health Liaison (MHLT) service based at Lister Hospital, Stevenage
  • Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) based at Lister Hospital, Stevenage

MHLTs are multi disciplinary teams that support people in the acute hospital who experience mental health issues. They provide support to service users across the wards at the hospitals and to service users who present to A & E.

MHUCC is dedicated to improving experiences and outcomes for service users, carers, and staff. This service will also play a crucial role in supporting acute hospital colleagues, enabling the hospital to improve ED performance and overall quality of care.

This role is best suited to an experienced Operations Manager who is confident, proactive, and able to work autonomously. While prior experience in crisis settings is ideal, we are looking for someone who can navigate complex and changeable situations with confidence while providing timely, compassionate, and person-centred care.
