We are looking for an Intelligence Manager to join our Data, Insight and Intelligence (DII) function, working within the Primary Care team to transforming health outcomes for our population through data-driven decision-making. Working closely with Primary Care leaders, commissioners, clinicians, operational teams and system partners, you will provide strategic insight and actionable intelligence that supports service improvement, population health management and delivery of NHS priorities.
Primary Care is an exciting and growing area of analysis, supporting General Practice, Community Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry as the “front-door” of the NHS where over 90% of patient contacts are seen every day.
A large focus of the role will be utilising patient level General Practice data to provide insight and intelligence of the demographics and health and care needs of 3.3 million people registered with a Greater Manchester practice – joining an award winning and nationally recognised team at the cutting edge of population health analysis.

Main duties of the job
- Lead the development and delivery of intelligence products, dashboards and analytical outputs to support Primary Care services and programmes.
- Translate complex datasets into meaningful insight and actionable recommendations for a range of stakeholders.
- Provide expert analytical advice to senior leaders, translating complex data into clear, meaningful insight and recommendations.
- Develop intelligence that supports population health management, health inequalities reduction and prevention strategies.
- Oversee the production of performance reports, forecasting models and evaluation frameworks.
- Ensure data quality, governance and compliance with information governance requirements.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the Greater Manchester health and care system.
- Support strategic planning and decision-making through advanced analytical techniques and evidence-based approaches.

- Subject matter expertise relevant to team role
- Experience of managing and co-ordinating complex schemes
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of investigating data anomalies and resolution of issues arising
- Ability to understand and present complex information to a range of audiences
- NHS/LA experience
Qualifications

- Master’s degree or equivalent experience or qualification
- Project management qualification e.g. Prince 2, Managing Successful Projects or equivalent
