A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 4 Cancer Navigator to join the Imaging management team at the University Hospital of North Midlands.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent Communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
The post holder will act as a patient advocate to support the patients pathways when referred in to the Imaging Directorate. The navigator will be the main point of access for the patients, as well as ensuring that patients have timely access to the cancer services.
They will work closely with the clinical and administration teams, Directorate management, Cancer services and other internal and external providers.
Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy environment
The role of the Navigator is to support with patients concerns and Non-clinical queries.
The cancer Navigator will be responsible for communicating with patients and other departments, both internal and external to the Trust to ensure that the relevant care is carried out in a timely manner throughout a patient’s pathway.
It is essential that the Navigator works closely with the clinical teams to ensure that the correct support is provided to patients and their families.
The Post Holder should have a good understanding of the Cancer pathways, experience of working with and supporting patients or clients and excellent communication skills.
