Job overview
The roles will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.
Main duties of the job
Maintaining a high standard of environmental cleanliness
Carrying out housekeeping, cleaning and service associated semi-skilled duties, e.g. curtain changes, removal and cleaning of fixtures and fittings, linen.
Maintaining a safe working environment.
Provide a Patient/Customer service.
The post holder is required to attend all relevant staff meetings and training sessions as required by the Housekeeping Manager/supervisors to maintain personal competency and comply with Health Board or legislative requirements. In accordance with housekeeping policy and procedures, occupational health and health and safety procedures.

This isn’t ‘fluency’, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means being able to communicate in Welsh during routine clinical situations, such as welcoming patients, discussing straightforward aspects of their care and answering routine questions.
