Job overview

As a Hive EPR Analyst within the Hive EPR & Digital Applications service, you will be trained (leading to formal accreditation) in at least one Epic service area and undertake process design and configuration of the Epic EPR system to support patient care and service delivery across ten hospitals within the MFT group.

You will act as a conduit between the Epic EPR system and clinical/operational teams. Helping them to see the potential improvements that can be realised though the system and ultimately configuring the system yourself to reflect the desired changes.

You will work closely with clinical and administrative / managerial staff to analyse their processes and help them to agree clinical system configuration and future workflows.

The assessment process for this role includes Sphinx testing which an aptitude assessment designed to evaluate critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.

Main duties of the job

You will support other Hive EPR & Digital Applications teams in integrated areas which requires close collaborative working with other EPR and trust teams, including but not limited to users & security, reporting, End User Devices, testing, training, Data Migration, medical device integration and business continuity planning. You will assist your line manager to test the system thoroughly to ensure that it is safe, usable, secure and robust and that it works as expected. You will provide support to end-users using your application knowledge through regular meetings and through incident investigation and resolution.

You will deputise for the Senior Analyst who will be part of the wider clinical governance and change management for the service and will be required to lead on the engagement with clinicians and other staff related to your module. In this role, you will support with change management to engage staff in review of working practices and communicating and training changes to practices and policies.

The Hive EPR Analyst will represent their service team providing assurance and guidance around their areas of responsibility at management and stakeholder meetings in the absence of the Senior Analyst. They will always act as an ambassador for the Hive EPR & Digital Applications service.
