As part of our community mental health transformation work, Surrey and Borders Partnership Trust are committed to providing robust clinical pathways and ensuring that people using our services and their families have timely access to high quality, evidence-based psychological interventions. To support delivery of our clinical pathways we are investing in a range of psychological practitioner roles, which will sit within/work across our new community neighbourhood teams.
As a Trust we pride our-selves on our innovative and collaborative approach to providing the highest quality, person-centred care: As part of our transition to an integrated neighbourhood model of care, we are developing clinical pathways across primary, secondary care and crisis and emergency service. Our pathways embody strong partnership working with a wide range of statutory and VCSE providers and people with lived experience. Each of the advertised posts has a key role in ensuring that the community therapies pathways are high quality, effective and accessible across the adult age range and that psychosocial interventions are embedded in wider service delivery.
Main duties of the job
- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the Systemic Family Psychotherapy needs of people using our services.
- To mentor, supervise and support qualified and unqualified staff including students
- Promoting a systemic perspective both within teams and sharing with other colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with team managers/ clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services.
- The postholder will be expected to work flexibly within the service.
- To lead on complex and challenging cases and develop expertise within area of specialism.
- Participating in the recruitment and selection of staff.
- Leading on a specific service development projects.

Experience
Essential
- Extensive post qualification clinical experience of working with people from across the life span with a range of mental health issues and cognitive profiles
- Experience across a range of systemic models
- Demonstrable post qualification clinical experience and competency relevant to this care group.
- Experience of contributing to clinical practice/service development.
- Demonstrable interest/skill in relevant specialist areas.
- Experience of supervising trainees and other professional groups

Essential
- Current UKCP Registration as Systemic Family Psychotherapist
Qualifications
Essential
- Doctoral or Masters level qualification in Systemic Family Psychotherapy
- Completion of an appropriate systemic supervision course to enable supervision of trainees and students
