Main duties of the job

  • Lead the developments of the Childrens Speech & Language Therapy Service in line with best practice outlined within research, national guidelines and local governance arrangements.
  • provide management supervision to the Speech and Language Therapy Service staff.

Undertake timely performance development reviews (PDR) for SLT staff in line with service and organisational requirements. Ensure the continued development of clinical skills across the team prioritising according to clinical and departmental needs, ensuring PDPs reflect the service priorities and are in place for all staff

Ensure Statutory and Mandatory training is maintained for the service.

  • Provide specific clinical and line management supervision to staff within the Childrens Speech and Language Therapy Service
  • To have a lead role in the co-ordination of risk management, investigating accidents, near misses, complaints as per Trust policy and Procedure.
