As a Clinical Support Worker Apprentice, you will work alongside registered healthcare professionals and experienced support staff to deliver safe and effective care to patients. You will undertake a structured apprenticeship programme designed to support your professional development and prepare you for a long-term career within healthcare.
This role involves providing direct patient care, including supporting patients with personal care needs and activities of daily living. Applicants should feel comfortable undertaking these responsibilities and be committed to delivering compassionate care that maintains patients' dignity, privacy and independence.
The programme combines workplace learning with academic study, enabling you to gain nationally recognised qualifications while developing practical clinical skills.
The Learning and Development team and Dynamic (the programme provider) will coordinate credential/qualification checks and functional skills testing on 1st and 2nd October 2026.
Successful applicants will be notified and invited for a subsequent interview by the clinical divisions.
Main duties of the job
- Apprenticeship Level: Level 2 or Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship (subject to eligibility and programme requirements)
- Expected Duration: 8 to 18 months
- Learning Format: Combination of workplace-based learning, taught sessions, online learning, workshops and assessments
- Off-the-job Learning: Apprentices will be required to undertake dedicated off-the-job learning in line with apprenticeship funding requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship programme, applicants must:
- Meet apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria at the start of the programme
- Have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the apprenticeship and be able to provide evidence of this
- Meet the entry requirements of the apprenticeship training provider, including any English and Maths requirements
- Be willing to undertake all required training, assessments and academic study
