We are recruiting for passionate and caring Health Support Workers to join various services here at The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

We are hosting a virtual one-hour information session on Thursday the 1st of October 2026 at 12:15 pm, where you can hear directly from our clinical services about what the role looks like on a day to basis.

You will have the chance to ask any questions you may have about the job.

Main duties of the job

Services may include:

Learning Disabilities, Specialised Supported Living Service - Leeds

Provide support for who you are, and who you want to be.

Low Secure Forensic Service - York

Inpatient service to adult men and women from a range of pathways, including from prison settings and medium secure, community or inpatient working age adult services.

Adult Acute Inpatient Services - Leeds

Primarily for people of working age who have been assessed via the Crisis Assessment Services as individuals who require assessment and treatment.

Mother and Baby Unit - Leeds

It is a small, safe friendly unit with specialist staff who help mums to recover from difficulties and return home with appropriate support.

Complex Psychosis Pathway - Leeds

Provides a comprehensive, integrated approach to mental health rehabilitation and assertive community treatment across Leeds.

Learning Disability Specialist Health Planned Care (Respite) - Leeds

Learning Disability Specialist Health Planned Care (Respite) Services.

Older People's Acute Inpatient Services - Leeds

Provide care and support for people with acute mental health needs including those with a diagnosis of dementia.

Eating Disorders Service (Adult) - Leeds

Community and inpatient treatment for people living in West Yorkshire, aged 18 and over, with eating disorders.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Applicants should be aware that any individual requiring a visa to work in the UK, the Trust only provides sponsorship for registered healthcare practitioner roles only (this does not include Healthcare Support Workers). This is an essential requirement, and the Trust is unable to offer you a role if you do not meet Trust requirements for sponsorship and Home Office requirements for a visa.
