Health Records Supervisor – BAND 3
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the clerical team in the Health Records Department at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
You will be responsible for providing a full clerical support service within the Health Records Department. The main focus of the role will be to supervise and support the clinic prep and admissions team.
Computer literacy and experience in the accurate inputting of data is an essential requirement for this post as are organisational skills . Methodical method of working and a keen eye for detail is crucial to this role.
Being flexible and adaptable to change is crucial to this particular role.
Training on in-house information systems however, will be provided.

Please note that whilst the trust does offer sponsorship this role is unfortunately not eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Health and Care Worker visa route.
This is due to the position not meeting Skilled Worker Route and salary threshold of £41,700 per annum and/or the required skill level set by UK Visas and Immigration.

To undertake day to day supervision and organise the workload for the staff working throughout the Health Records department.
To deal with enquiries from the general public and other service users.
Ensure all health records are filed in the libraries and / or scanned in a timely manner.

- Ensure availability of the patient health record at point of patient care and assisting with general cover arrangements.
- Ensure all health records are filed in the libraries and / or scanned in a timely manner.

Person specification
Knowledge
Essential
- General knowledge of office procedures
- Strong verbal communication skills
- IT skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Desirable
- Customer Service Training
- Awareness of Date Protection, Information Governance and standards for maintaining health records
- Knowledge of NHS environment
Experience
Essential
- Extensive administrative experience
- Customer Service experience
- Familiarity with hospital patient administration system or other computer systems
Desirable
- Previous experience of supervising staff
