Job overview

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Health Programme Lead to join the Safeguarding Team in BHT, working across the local system with partner organisations. The post holder will provide strategic leadership for the health contribution to the Families First Partnership Programme across Buckinghamshire, leading the design, coordination and implementation of the health workstream within a complex multi-agency reform programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant reform programme aimed at transforming children’s social care. You will play a key role in shaping more integrated care for children and families, strengthening multi-agency safeguarding arrangements, and supporting early help initiatives. The role will involve working with senior leaders across health, local authority and partner agencies to support development of health pathways, operating models, data and reporting arrangements, and evaluating the impact of reform activity to inform service development, assurance and future commissioning intentions.

Essential

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate keyboard skills.
  • Previously responsible for a budget, involved in budget setting and working knowledge of financial processes
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Desirable

  • Comprehensive experience of project principles techniques and tools such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects
  • Active participation in staff networks or community engagement initiatives

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

  • First level registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or as an Allied Health Professional (AHP)
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master’s level equivalent
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Significant experience working in a healthcare setting within a multi-agency context
  • Experience of safeguarding and/or early help services
  • Proven ability to lead or coordinate system-wide initiatives
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders across health and social care
  • Experience of working on national reform programmes or pilots Experience in data analysis and reporting for service improvement
