As a Band 7 you will be expected to meet the essential criteria and possess appropriate post registration experience in haematology nursing and hold a relevant degree.  Along with excellent communication, written and computer skills, you will need to be organised and able to work both autonomously and as part of the team. Through face to face and telephone contact, you will provide advice, support and information to patients and their families and carers. You will be expected to run and support nurse-led clinics and actively participate in peer review, audit and service improvement. Advanced nursing skills such as assessing and prescribing are integral to this role, if you do not already possess these you should be keen to develop them with our support.

  • To be flexible in the approach to the clinical area and to provide cover for any area specified acting as professional role model providing direct and indirect clinical care, teaching and research.
