Job summary
Are you a GP? Primary Care 24 (PC24) are seeking highly skilled and motivated GPs to join our salaried workforce with opportunities within our Out Of Hours department. You will work onsite within our sites in Merseyside, Halton & Warrington and attend home visits for our Primary Care 24 patients.
Main duties of the job
- Carry out medical services with due care and attention, using skills and experience in accordance with good medical practice.
- Triage patients over the phone and make a clinical decision about appropriate care.
- Investigate and diagnose with a care plan/management to follow.
- Medicine management and occasional urgent test management.
- Conduct home visits and face-to-face Urgent Care Centre appointments. .
- Work closely with operations and clinical staff

Job responsibilities
Salary: £108,664.00-£130,398.00per annum (pro rata)
Department: Out of Hours.
Location: Various locations within Merseyside, Warrington & Halton; including Wavertree Head Office & home visits
Shifts: Full time/part time permanent positions available covering the OOH department, covering weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. Hours are between 18:00 - 08:00

Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC Registration and licence to practice
- Up to date Enhanced DBS Certificate (we will apply for one for you if you aren't a member of the DBS Update Service)
- Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance
- Ability to take independent clinical decisions when necessary and to seek further advice from colleagues as appropriate
- Ability to manage own time and workload in line with SLAs
- Excellent interpersonal skills ability to communicate sensitively
- Demonstrate skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication
- Competent in the use of IT systems including ADASTRA and EMIS systems
