Job overview
An opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Estates and Facilities Management Team at The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
Based at Fairfield Hospital in Bury and also responsible for Rochdale Infirmary, you will be experienced in hard services estates management and ideally have experience in managing facilities soft services . You will be able to operate at senior level in our Group Wide E&F Team as well as at Local site level and be responsible for site maintenance and compliance project management, group standards, minor works and have direct line management for a wide range of E&F Services.
Support the Deputy Director for Estates, Facilities & Capital in the implementation of policy and service development.
Deputise for the Deputy Director for Estates, Facilities & Capital in his/her absence.
Act as subject matter lead for identified specific services as required.
Main duties of the job
- You will be responsible for the implementation of professional management throughout Estates & Facilities.
- To manage hard and soft FM services & contracts, both internal and external, in addition to all levels of directly employed staff, to ensure the delivery of operational estates and facilities services.
- To be responsible for managing and complying with all statutory instruments and guidance ensuring best practice related to building fabric and engineering services.
- To lead the implementation of the group’s wider estates and facilities strategies.
- Responsible at site level for the professional and technical management of highly specialised areas of Estate and Facilities Management including Electrical Installations, Medical Gases, Critical Patient Support Systems, Fire Safety, Security Systems, Lifts, Special Working Conditions and Patient Environment etc.
- To deliver all E&F regulatory standards and ensure compliance with national standards and policies.
