An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust Gynaecology Service for a Fertility Patient Pathway Coordinator. Working as part of our dedicated Fertility Team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting patients throughout their fertility journey, ensuring they receive a seamless, responsive, and high-quality service from referral through to treatment and follow-up. You will work closely with consultants, clinical nurse specialists, administrative colleagues, and external organisations to coordinate appointments, manage complex pathways, monitor waiting times, and provide excellent support to patients and their families.

Main duties of the job

As a Fertility Patient Pathway Coordinator, you will act as a key point of contact for patients, supporting them through often complex and emotionally sensitive stages of their fertility journey. Working within a busy multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate patient care, manage competing priorities, and work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure patients receive timely, efficient and compassionate support.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to build positive relationships with patients, colleagues and external organisations. Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 1 years previous experience within the NHS, a health care setting, or the public sector
  • Good knowledge of patient pathways
  • Experience in maintaining and updating databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Team working and team building experience

Desirable

  • In-depth understanding of Medical Terminology appropriate to
  • specialism
  • An understanding of the Trusts Elective
  • Access Policy / Screening Programme
  • targets as appropriate to the role.
  • Experience of working within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Qualifications

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, Grades A-C / 9-4

  • NVQ or Apprenticeship in Customer Care or Business Administration
