Job summary

37.5 hours per week - secondment until 31 March 2027

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Support Coordinator to join our friendly team. You will take on the rewarding role of supporting the Facilities Department based predominantly at Kendray Hospital, Barnsley but will be expected to work trust wide. Therefore a full clean driving licence is essential.

Working closely with the Housekeeping Business Manager and Monitoring and Contracts Manager you will be responsible for effectively planning and delivering training sessions, recruiting into the Department, planning events and supervising staff.

You will provide in depth and inclusive inductions to the Department.

You will work with external organisations, department Managers and the public to promote the Department and the job roles and opportunities available.

You will produce reports, records and documentation, therefore Business Administration experience is required.

The ideal candidate will be able to plan in advance and be well organised. You must be flexible, reliable and hardworking with enhanced communication skills at all levels.

The post is predominantly Monday Friday however flexibility is required to meet service needs.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Facilities Department on education training requirements and provision.

You will support the department to recruit into vacant posts.

You will be responsible for monitoring and ordering training supplies.

You will have the ability to complete administrative tasks, such as updating records, writing reports and producing action plans.

You will ability to lead, motivate and mentor staff.
